Windows 10: Windows 10 Bluetooth issue | Microsoft sculpt touch mouse stopped working suddeny

Hello,


I have windows 10 Pro version 1803 OS Build 17134.345 installed on Dell XPS 15 9560.

Wireless model (bluetooth) Killer-Wireless-AC-1535


Microsoft sculpt touch mouse was paired and working without any issues for years. Suddenly this morning ,it stopped working.


I tried pairing the mouse with another device, it is working with no issues.


I tried uninstalled the bluetooth driver (with delete driver option), install the latest driver from dell, same issue.


I installed Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center, it didn't help.


I used bluetooth troubelshooter, it didn't help.


Windows is up to date.

Windows 10 and Microsoft Sculpt touch mouse

Hi, I recently upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10. After upgrading my microsoft sculpt touch mouse stopped working. The mouse connects and says it is paired, but when I try to move it seems to disconnect. If I connect my bluetooth to my wireless speaker
it works normally, so I'm thinking my card is working fine.

When I'm in the settings screen under bluetooth I connect the mouse, when I move the mouse the computer thinks (those dots move across the screen above the name of the mouse) then the installing bar appears under the name of the mouse for a bit, then it
says connected. This repeats if i move the mouse continuously or after settings says the computer is connected.

In device manager it says all devices are running the latest drivers, including the mouse and everything listed under bluetooth.

I have a Dell XPS 15z

bluetooth is Intel Centrino wireless bluetooth 3.0 + High Speed adapter

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse - stops working

Recently after an update to Windows 10, my Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse stops working.

After looking at some posts. The following steps seem to work.

In Device Manager, under Bluetooth uninstall devices, then under actions Scan for hardware changes.

This seems to work and the mouse works again however, these steps are repeated over the course of the day as the mouse stops working randomly.

I also notice that under other devices I have a number of devices that seem to be unknown





I also have a Microsoft phone 950xl and 640 however these drivers are for other nokia phones which we do not have.

Can someone suggest a permanent fix to (a) the Bluetooth mouse not needing to be reset the way I have been doing this (as listed above) and (b) a fix for these other devices.

The laptop I use is a Dell Inspiron 15 - 7000 Series

 

Microsoft Sculpt Mouse Replacement Issues

Hi Leviozar,

I reviewed the whole article, and none of the steps there fix my issue.

Basically, I only would like to know if is possible to pair the Bluetooth version of Sculpt Mouse to Microsoft 2.4 GHz transceiver. I do not have any issues to pair my sculpt keyboard to transceiver or to pair my sculpt mouse by Bleutooth.

However, my previous sculpt mouse (non bluetooth) could pair to MS transceiver. It looks like the new one (bluetooth) cannot do it, only pairs to Bluetooth.
