Windows 10 bluetooth pairing only shows LE

Hi,I just got a new PC and ran into problems trying to pair my Bose earbuds. Windows only shows the LE option- which is different from the headphone selection and nothing happens while connected to it. Tried turning bluetooth on and off, restarting the PC, and updating/uninstalling the drivers. Even tried switching to both windows 10 and 11 but the problem still persists. I think this may be a software or driver related issue since these same earbuds work perfectly fine on my phone and other PC's. To be sure, I also removed and paired them up with all my devices again without any problems. Not

    :)

  2. Bug in windows bluetooth le GetGattServicesAsync method

    The problem description:
Sometimes it is not possible to get some response from the method GetGattServicesAsync with the parameter BluetoothCacheMode.Cached or BluetoothCacheMode.Uncached. Only the windows restart helps to reconnect the le device and to get the services from the le device.

We use Windows.Devices.Bluetooth.dll with .Net Framework 4.6.1 to build the class library.
The Windows PC shall connect the Bluetooth le device.

    Steps for the problem reproducing:

    1. Discovery the devices with the determined service
    2. Call the method FromBluetoothAddressAsync with the Bluetooth address of LE device
    3. BluetoothLEDevice is found
    4. Pair the LE device with desktop:

    5. Check the connection status. If the status connected, call the method GetGattServicesAsync(BluetoothCacheMode.Cached)
    6. Sometimes is not possible to get the response from GetGattServicesAsync. After 30 seconds we cancel the task, dispone BluetoothLEDevice, unpair and try to reconnect le device. The reconnection is failed and only the Windows restart helps to establish the connection to the le device.

    PC:

    • Dell Precision 5530
    • Bluetooth adapter Qualcomm QCA6174A
    • Windows 10 Enterprise (1803)
    • Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134.590

    LE Device:

    • Bluetooth 4.2

  3. Pairing bluetooth LE smartband failed

    Hi Jesinta,

I write you information which you requested:

    1) When I try to pair with smartband the result info on screen is "Couldn't connect"

    2) Device information from my Mobile Phone:

Windows 10 mobile build is 10.0.10572.0

    Firmware revision number: 02177.00000.15184.36003

    Radio software version is 401c3.00009.0001

    Aditional info:

When I had paired smartband in Windows Phone 8.1 and I upgraded to Windows 10 insider preview the paired device is listed in bluetooth settings and I can connect to it, but when I remove the paired device and try to pair it again in Windows 10 isider preview
I get the error "Couldn't connect".

My notebook where I have Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 card with Bluetooth LE and Windows 10 OS I could pair with smartband too.

    Regards,

    .

  4. Windows 10 bluetooth pairing only shows LE

Bluetooth does not Recognize/Pair/See Bluetooth Hardware

System Information: Asus Notebook UX303L, Windows 10, Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition

Okay, I've been working on this for awhile and have tried a million things. I'm going back to square one so pretend I haven't tried anything yet.

    Here is the problem.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 (from windows 8.1) on a 2 month old laptop. On previous version there were NO problems with bluetooth. The problems started immediately after upgrade.

When the upgrade finished Windows 10 remembered all of my previous Bluetooth pairs. My bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition) worked before the installation but after my system reboot the cursor no longer showed movement. The batteries are new. The mouse is acting exactly like it does when it is properly connected (lights flash, makes scrolling sounds, etc). When I checked the Bluetooth device screen it still showed as paired. I rebooted. No change. So I unpaired the device. When I unpaired the device it flashed for a second as a possible device to pair with and then was no longer on the list. Other possible devices to pair with appear and disappear from the list without cause. (Ex. sees a scanner for a few seconds then no longer has a scanner. Sometimes its up for a few minutes at most but the list is constantly flickering.) So I rebooted. Then it did not see the mouse at all. I did this for several days. Sometimes when I would turn on my laptop it would flicker, sometimes it would not. After about 3 days with no explanation it suddenly showed up and did not flicker. I connected the mouse and it worked for about 2 days. On the 3rd day I tried again, and the cursor would no longer respond even though the mouse was acting exactly the same. I rebooted. No change. I unpaired the device and it never showed up on the list. It's flickered a few times but when I click on it to pair it pops up with an error basically saying "cannot pair. Please check and see if the device is still set to connect to bluetooth." That is only on the rare occasion that it actually shows up on the list long enough to hit pair (maybe 2 times out of 50 attempts or more.)

I've tried everything I can think of, but I'd like to try everything in order that someone else would try to see if I'm missing something.

It is a Microsoft mouse by all means it should work on Microsoft drivers. :/ Arg. Please give any suggestions to help.
