Windows 10: Windows 10 boot menu after Linux Mint uninstallation

Hi,
I installed Linux Mint alongside Windows 10 some time ago and tried it for a while. When I decided to remove Linux Mint from the laptop, I deleted the disk partitions it was installed on. Even though Linux Mint is deleted, it is still shown as an option on Windows boot menu when I start the laptop. How can I remove Linux Mint from the boot menu completely so the laptop boots directly to Windows as it used to do? Thanks..

You should ensure Windows 10 is installed first, then install Linux Mint after.

I am trying to install a Linux Mint Distro (Linux Mint 18.3 "Sylvia") in my computer, running Windows 10 Pro.

It doesn´t matter which way I choose (allowing Mint to setup the system, or making it mannually), what I get is a system that always runs Windows 10 and there is no way to run Linux Mint (just from a USB drive), as the boot loader comes from Microsoft with
no way to introduce Linux Mint on it. I purchase EasyBCD and no result with it.

What did Microsoft do in the last updates?

Previously it was very easy to create a Dual boot system, but now, there is no way.

Some help will be appreciated.

• Open an elevated command prompt
• Type bcdedit /enum
• Locate the GUID for the Linux entry They look like {14105cca-1b7b-11e6-8afe-e38650dc991f}
• Then delete the entry with bcdedit /delete {14105cca-1b7b-11e6-8afe-e38650dc991f} , substitute in your GUID
