  1. Windows 10 Bricked After Update, Help!

    Hello everyone!

Wednesday evening, I was ready to log off and clicked "Update & Restart," expecting it to be done in a few minutes. I came back to my computer stuck in a restart loop. It would:

    1. Start up, and I see the BIOS logo for maybe 30 seconds
    2. Turn off, then repeat

I tried making an OEM key (video: here) and using that:

    - Running Startup Repair gives me the message "Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC."

    - Trying to Uninstall Updates gives me the message "We ran into a problem and won't be able to uninstall..."

The problem has persisted for the past day and a half. Looking online, the best solution seems to be reinstalling Windows (I have Windows 10 Home 64x) but I don't want to lose any of my files and ideally not my programs either.

What is the best way to do this? I saw another user comment on a previous thread that it is possible to move everything into a new folder called "Old PC" for example, then reinstall Windows. How would I do that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
