Windows 10: Windows 10 BSOD, BugCheck error "a0", Internal Power Error

I have been getting intermittent BSODs in Win 10. Intermittent because it only seems to happen when I get the following 2 errors: "Windows failed fast startup with error status 0xC0000001" 29 and "The previous system shutdown at xx on xx was unexpected." 6008. When the BSOD occurs, I get a BugCheck error "a0", Internal Power Error; 608 - A driver has attempted to transition a component to idle without a preceding active request. Once the system is powered on, the POST screen displays, then flashes to black and then displays again which I believe it's doing another POST then flashes to

I have been getting intermittent BSODs in Win 10. Intermittent because it only seems to happen when Windows fails fast startup which may be due to another error of not shutting down properly from the previous shutdown. When the BSOD occurs, I get a BugCheck error "a0", Internal Power Error; 608 - A driver has attempted to transition a component to idle without a preceeding active request.

Once the system is powered on, the POST screen displays, then flashes to black and then displays again (which I believe it's doing another POST) then flashes to black and then after a second or so the BSOD shows for a few seconds. Then the system reboots, does POST and then comes up normally to the sign-in screen.

This system is on an ASUS Prime X470-Pro mb with an AMD Ryzen 2700x processor and a Radeon Pro WX5100 graphics card.

BugCheck error "a0", Internal Power Error; 608 and other errors

After updating the BIOS to version 5603, the highest version the mb would allow, and all other drivers, the problem of BSOD still exists.

It is intermittent and seems only to happen when I get the error that "The previous system shutdown was unexpected." From there, the following errors occur:

• Windows fast startup fails
  
• The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first
  
• A timeout was reached (45000 milliseconds) while waiting for the AMD Crash Defender Service service to connect.
  
• The AMD Crash Defender Service service failed to start due to the following error:
  
  The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
  
• The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000a0 (0x0000000000000608, 0xffffd5898f2b1528, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000).

I've tried analyzing the memory.dmp with windbg but I'm not versed enough in windows architecture to know how to use the debugger properly.

 

BSOD after Sleep

This bugcheck was A0 = internal power error
Hibernation is high on the list for a fix especially with the fail errors in the event viewer.
If not, then Windows Driver Verifier (WDV) can be run to make sure misbehaving drivers if present are found.
Alternatively if there are no BSOD for a week then that will complete the troubleshooting monitoring period.
