    Windows 10 BSOD Help

I have had issues the past couple weeks with BSODs appearing randomly and shutting down my system, I have done almost every self diagnostic test i can at this point and im hoping someone can give me a little insight or direction to continue.

It started 2 1/2 weeks ago when i randomly got a blue screen while gaming, restarted and it ran fine for the rest of the day. I hadn't used it much since then and just this past weekend it crashed 6 times on Saturday, twice on Sunday, and once every day since if i let it run for over 30 mins. I don't even have to be doing anything for it to crash but it seems more frequent when i'm gaming.

There have been no hardware changes, and the only software related changes were that AVG flagged SIHClient.exe as a virus and tried to move it to quarantine, therefore corrupting it. And my graphics driver updating. I Uninstalled AVG and used the sfc/scannow and Dism /restore commands to fix the issues with system files and SIHClient. i then ran full system scans with defender and malwarebytes which turned up nothing. I rolled back my graphics driver which didn't help either. I defragged and diskchecked my drives and which were fine, backed up and repaired registry with CCleaner. Tested each of my ram cards individually, in different slots, with windows memory diagnostics, memtest 86, and normal running. No issues found there. I ran stress and benchmark tests on my graphics card and CPU hoping it would fail during one test or the other but no luck.

Windows update is up to date, i did a clean reinstall of the current graphics driver, and updated any other drivers i could think of. Only have one unsigned driver which is from Oculus, and i did a clean reinstall of that as well. Last thing I tried was a clean install/ upgrade of win 10 that replaced everything except personal files. I have the 2 most recent minidump files i will upload, as the others were deleted with the system re-install. Other error messages i got included:

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_ERROR

    BAD_POOL_CALLER

    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

There were more that i missed and it restarted before i read them. My specs are as follows:

Asus Maximus IX Hero Mobo - Bios up to date

    Intel i7-7700K 4.20gHz - No overclocking

    16GB (2x8gb) DDR4 PNY Anarchy 2400mhz Ram - Dual Channel - No overclocking

Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB - No overclocking

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
