WINDOWS 10 BSOD PAGE FAULT NTFS.SYS ERROR REBOOT LOOP

I turned off my computer as I was going to sleep and when I turned it on after I woke up. The BSOD appeared when I try to boot my PC. I tried the approach where I forced my computer to shut down 3 times to access WIN RE but it won't work. It just keeps showing preparing automatic repair after that BSOD appears. I also created a recovery drive which I can only boot when I plug off my hard drive from the motherboard. I can access the troubleshoot settings using the boot drive but I can't see the startup settings option. These are the only options that are shown in the troubleshoot.

System Restore - tells me I "must specify which Windows installation to restore" and doesn't let me do anything else. Also tells me to "Restart this computer, select and operation system, and then select System Restore"

System Image Recovery - tells me it cannot find a system image on my computer

Startup Repair - fails to fix the problem, as stated above

Command Prompt - Don't know what else to do here.

UEFI Firmware Settings - only took me to BIOS

Go back to previous version - seems irrelevant because I haven't updated my windows since september

    :)

  2. BSoD error "page fault in non=page area"

I have recently been getting the BSoD error "page fault in non-page area" - three times today.

I also had a "Memory management" error.

Other issues that may or may not be related:

    • MS Word in Office 365 has started loading automatically on startup w. blank page. Gives an error about the basic document template when I try to close. By opening any existing document, I can then close and exit.
    • Firefox and AVG secure browser tabs are freezing - started today.
I found an earlier response to this error that suggested changes to the virtual memory settings. I checked mine and it is set for Windows to manage on all drives.

I have a copy of the memory dumps in a zip file if that would be helpful

Windows 10 BSOD Boot Loop, WDF01000.SYS error

I was just browsing the web when my machine locked up and started going into a boot loop that would go to attempting repair, diagnosing problem and then would loop again with the Windows 10 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (wdf01000.sys). The machine will let me choose the safe mode options but will just BSOD and go to the error then reboot.

I have tried to run SFC from the troubleshooting section but it is waiting on a reboot repair that never happens so I could attempt to run it again.

I have attached the only file that I could think to pull. It will not boot, I have made a recovery drive from another computer.

    Thanks for the help.

    Receiving Page Fault Error

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are receiving a page fault error while starting the PC. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
    • Does the computer boot to the Desktop?

I would suggest you to share the dump files so that we can analyze them and get to the root cause of the issue. To share the files Navigate to
C:\Windows\Minidump, upload the files to OneDrive and share the OneDrive link.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

    Troubleshoot blue screen errors
    and see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Nikhar Khare
