I get a blue screen with an error message "Whea Uncorrectable Error" sometimes when I start my computer. It usually happens when I've just logged in. It seems that the blue screen is more likely to occur if I haven't used my computer for a long time maybe say 1 day or longer. If I've just shut down my computer and start it up again, there usually is no blue screen. Could someone help with this issue? At first, when i discovered this issue, the error message appears but it disappears way too quickly for me to read so with the use of my phone camera, i managed to pinpoint exactly what it r

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    BSOD on bootup

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you receive a Blue Screen error on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • When you say “i get BSOD on bootup”, are you able to get to the login screen?
    • What is the Blue Screen that you receive?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

I would suggest you to remove all the external devices connected to the computer apart from keyboard and mouse and check if that makes a difference.

You may also want to refer the steps mentioned in the article Troubleshoot
    blue screen errors
    .

I would suggest you to try booting the computer into Safe Mode and check if it is still crashing. Refer the article
    Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10
    .

In case, the PC is working fine in Safe Mode then you may try performing Clean Boot and see if the PC boots normally.

Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer.
However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

To perform a clean boot on the computer refer to the article How to perform a
    clean boot in Windows
    .

If performing a clean boot fixes the issue then, please refer to the section
How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to check which program is causing the issue.

Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting.

Let us know the results, we will be glad to help you further.

    Regards,
