Windows 10: Windows 10 build 10051 changelog posted, one minor update

Just wondering... would it be normal for after installing 10051 to be finding any updates?

 

just windows defender ones at moment

Probably yes when the next official update comes out. The real question that should be asked; will it work? And nope, I haven't a clue. *Smile

 

I posted earlier that I read that if one installs this leaked build, it may not update. I can wait.

 

I've been using 10051 since I installed it last weekend.
There's only WD updates. But that's all.
Workgroup isn't working automatically but can be manually configured.
Spartan is still almost unusable but I have Chrome on it.





This one is on a separate test SSD (with my cloned Win 7) so I don't really mind whatever happens to it. My 10049 is still up and running on the other SSD.

 

I can wait too, Gary. Some time back there was a leak and we were warned by Microsoft that the next update wouldn't install if we were running it.

Now there's a real reason to do a clean install if ever I saw one.

It's not an official release so it's not a good idea to give a link to it. Get and install it at your own risk. *Smile But you can simply google it up. But be careful out there. *Smile

I don't know where you got your 10051 from but you probably got it from the same source I did. The last couple days I was experiencing way too many abnormalities with it, so I got Source files (only) from WZor.net then stuffed the original install.wim in with it and it's quite a bit different. It seems that's how I got the new 'Live Link Lock Screen' as well!? *Confused

 

I always skip Lock Screen when I setup my PC after clean installation so I never notice the changes on it. I will check it out.
I got mine from a link on another forum. There should only be one leak anyways. *Smile

 

Yeah, I hear ya! The Lock Screen is rather pointless! I think they should put a curtain over your email address on the login screen!!!

 

I did an install also. I haven't had alot of time to play with it but it seems looks like IE is built into Spartan in this build and the mail app was redone. the Word & Excel for Windows 10 previews I had to install and the worked. In build 10049 they didn't work. I tested by grabbing a spreadsheet on Onedrive and it was able to load the spreadsheet.
