Windows 10: Windows 10 Build 10134 has been leaked

I just did an update and here is a screen shot of the start menu: Looks about the same to me..

 

I just noticed that the error when shutting down or restarting has been fixed.. well I need to try it more.

 

I'm still getting the shut down/restart error on a clean install. Got those icons back by going in and switching them on. Guess they were off by default in this build.

 

Same here... no fix again.

 

There's not much differences between 10130 and 10134 except the snipping tool mentioned in the Demo Video which I don't use.The Start Menu and Explorer crash are still not fixed with both updated from 10130/fresh Install.

However, I've noticed in this build with fresh install, they changed the size of the hidden Partitions: Recovery and MSR.
The Recovery is now 450MB instead of 300MB
The unallocated MSR is 16MB instead of 128MB.
The FAT32 partition ramains 100MB as before.

I guess in earlier update between builds, they had to create an extra 450 Recovery partition at the end, next to C drive because the Winre.wim is larger than 300MB and would not fit in the 300MB Recovery partition.

If you DO try these things use a VM or an isolated machine though

I was wondering if they would ever change the size of those partitions for a clean install. Since this came up during the 8.1 update process, it has taken them a long time.

Maybe once you have the 450 MB partition as default it won't have to create another one. If I upgrade a Windows 8 system, I might try resetting those to the new defaults to see what happens.

I suppose they don't think 4K drives will be relevant since they did not change the EFI partition to 260 MB as they advise in the Deployment scripts.

From what I understand the Insider Program is going to continue when 10 goes final. This is probably for those who don't want to continue testing.

 

I will wait for the official build 10134 or 10135. I have used leaked build in the past but one yesterday was pulled as it had a virus. So I will just wait...

I think you mean for those who DO want to continue testing !!!! --The Final is for those who want to use it and have finished (presumably) with testing. If you are on the insider program that presumably means you will continue to get new builds (even AFTER RTM).

I think it's the same sort of error as those who say they could care less when they really mean COULDN'T care less !!!.

If one wants to continue testing they need to do nothing. If one wants to stop testing they can click on it. So yeah! It's for those who want to stop.
