Well, apparently the boot manager of 10135 placed itself on a 'dump' drive which contains temporary and disposable files on my new build. It is a slow spinner I salvaged from a dead laptop. I made the dump drive inactive and disabled boot options in UEFI. That's probably why I thought it's so slow. I rebuilt the boot menu using macrium and all is well now.

Do you get the "memory" issue in VM when turning it off?

I see Spartan/Edge has a home button you can turn on and off. Is that new or has it been there?

I just did a restart and didn't get any errors. I don't know what was going on in the background. It took awhile before Windows shutdown and restarted.

Edit: I just did a second restart and got the memory error.

I just noticed I Didn't have to set my time zone on this install. My clock is set correctly.

The "Light" and "Dark" mode is more of a mobile device feature rather than of Ease-of-Access option. Dark mode is a power-saving feature for mobile devices (Windows tablets). So, we will surely see more of that.

  9. I would just really love to have a dark system theme without having to resort to third party patching apps and whatnot.

Did you check your time zone? More than likely, your time zone is wrong, even though your clock is right. If you change your time zone, now your time will be off. The reaon is because your VM takes the time from the host, and assigns it to the BIOS time for the VM, so the default timezone has that time.

It will eventually fix itself to the "wrong" time when the internet time syncs.

    Checking it now.

Edit: Somehow it found the correct time zone. I usually have to set the correct time zone when doing a clean install and I don't set it during the install.

I wonder if Timezone is now stored in synced settings? That would not be good IMO... since multiple users use a machine, don't want it resetting timezone.

    Nevermind. A restart fixed it.

Glad they brought back the Backup and Restore control panel.
I haven't tried the 10TP. Just wondering does 10 have "Restore Previous Versions" of files like Windows 7? That's a great feature I've used several times.
