Windows 10: Windows 10 build 10162 ISOs Released

So should I stay on my 8.1 with a reserved copy of 10 or upgrade to 10162?

 

If you want to drop out of the insider program then I would stick with WIn8.1. That's my plan after testing/playing with this build, 10162.

 

yeah im going back to 8.1 till final release then update then clean install after activation

Where are the Pro isos? I got Pro when I upgraded via Windwos Update on my VM and Laptop but all I see here is core.

It's the same as it was with Windows 8.1. The ISO can install both Home or Pro. It's the product key you enter during setup that determines if Home or Pro gets installed. *Smile

10162 Home = KTNPV-KTRK4-3RRR8-39X6W-W44T3

10162 Pro = 8N67H-M3CY9-QT7C4-2TR7M-TXYCV

 

Thanks Shawn. I went back and re-read the thread and now see where that was mentioned earlier.

Why doesn't MS indicate that on their web site, would sure make things less confusing.

 

Yeah, it would be nice if it was more clear on the download page at Microsoft.

 

Yeah, I only see the Pro key listed, which makes you think its only Pro being offered. Where did you find the Home key?

Thanks Z3r010, I was able to easily update using the 10162 iso over my previous as usual, and it worked fine.
I just delete the Windows.old folder afterwards to save space when I upgrade like that

 

I've got some 850 EVO's too, and timed it today after seeing your post, it took me 14 minutes from start to finish, upgrading via iso on top of the previous version.

Anyway I like the Samsung SSD's, and is sooooo much faster than spinners doing the same task.

The official download site does not need any MS or Insider accounts for download. In addition, these third party sites usually only offer one language whereas the official Microsoft download site offers all available language versions.

I find it quite strange that you post a link to a third party site in the very same thread which in its first post already tells when you can download the ISO from its original source.
