Windows 10: Windows 10, Build 1803 outlook 365 crashes

I know it has been a while but I am to believe that the Symantec plugin crashes because of a missed Patch.

this patch is required prior to installing the fix "outlook2016-kb4011570.exe"

Installing the "outlook2016-kb4011570.exe" without this patch results in the failure and prompts:

"Update for Microsoft Outlook 2016 (KB4011570) 64-Bit Edition There are no products affected by this package installed on this system"


disabling this plugin is not an option and this is a "click to run" version of office 365.

help...

Any Office365 users here? Does Outlook (or any Office app for that matter) request activation after each system restart post this Windows 1803 update?

Or well, not activation but after updating it asks me every lauch for my college or enterprise outlook account, which I do not have, just personal account. I had to repair Office.

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.
