Windows 10: Windows 10 Build 2004 Cumulative Updates October 15, 2020 is causing OneDrive to crash...

Hello everyone. I do hope you and your loved ones are well and safe. I appreciate any help in this matter.

Here's my story.

Last night I saw that Windows 10 had an update. I chose to install updates and shutdown I was done for the day.

Today upon booting my computer I noticed several OneDrive cloud icons on the taskbar then apopup stating OneDrive is restarting. This has gone on for about 30 minutes.I am currently at Windows Build 2004 Cumulative Updates October 15, 2020 I went to troubleshoot for updates, I let the troubleshoot run. It came backproblems detected and solved. I was continuing to see the "OneDrive restarting popup."

• I restarted my PC to see if that would help. Nope.
• I shut down my PC and waited a few minutes to see if that would help. Nope.
• I even went so far as to shut down my PC restart my modem to see if that would reset things. And Nope.
• I'm out of option apart from removing the updates or allow OneDrive to not run which is what I have done at this point.

Note: I didn't set a restore point before the updates. Which I could have resolved, hopefully, if I had done so. That part is on me.

Does anyone have any ideas or solutions?

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
