    First attempt to update caused black screen after login. used task manager to open settings and rolled back update. Problem fixed. On the off chance it was a corrupt download I tried again with a new update after updating all drivers. Same results although it eventually opened my desktop after about 15 minutes. Now everything is running super slow to the point that some things just hang forever. In settings, windows security displays a blank menu. This is unacceptable behavior for an update from such a large company. What is causing this issue and how do I repair it quickly and easily?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
