    Windows 10 C drive wiped


    Good afternoon everyone, Yesterday when I got home from work my computer was off and upon turning it on it went through the set up for a new user profile. All of my old C drive files were gone. My old user account was gone and a new useradministrator account that i did not create, but could log into with my microsoft account was there. There was no indication that this is a Temp account. There exists a windows.old folder in the C drive but it is empty. I have done the multiple restarts and no luck. I can not search for or locate any of my old files in the explorer. None of my other drives w

    no, you can't go back..
    I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
