  1. Windows 10 Calculator change

There seems to have been a recent change in the Windows 10 calculator that makes it automatically total my calculation after every new operator I put in. The equals sign is highlighted blue it wasn't before. And this fills up my history with garbage as well as makes it more difficult to make sure I enter a line of numbers correctly. So my calculations went from looking like this:

    4+5+8+3+7+8 = 35

    To looking like this:

    4 + 5 = 9

    9 + 8 = 17

    17 + 3 = 20

    20 + 7 = 27

    27 + 8 = 35

And even before the change, it would still tell me the current total before I hit the = key. I'm not sure why this change exists, but how do I change it back?

    :)

    Windows 10 Calculator

    Hi,

Some of the reasons why the calculator app will not work properly are: the program encountered a corrupted system files, virus and malware, and another application is conflicting with it.

We suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the calculator. In doing so, you will have a fresh copy of the application which will eliminate the issue. Here are the steps:

    • Right-click on the Start menu.
    • Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Allow the application to make changes, Type in Powershell then, click
      Enter.
    • Type in Get-AppxPackage *windowscalculator* | Remove-AppxPackage then, click
      Enter.
    • Type in Get-AppxPackage *windowscalculator* | Add-AppxPackage then, click
      Enter.
    • Restart the computer after the process and try accessing the menu of the calculator.
Don't hesitate to provide your feedback.
