Windows 10: Windows 10 Calculator issue = and %

Why does the windows 10 calculator does not works the same as my mobile calculator or calculator app in mobile.


The issue, I keep on facing on my windows 10 calculator in Standard format.


1. Whenever i press a number and then use "+" ," - ", "* ", "% ", or "/ " and add the other number then pressing "=" , it will give me the right answer but if i keep on pressing "=" it will keep on adding or subtracting or mutli or divide with same value nonstop. WHY??? IT simply should stop once i press enter once.

eg. 2+2= 4 and keep on pressing "=" only, the number will keep on increasing while it should 6,8,10,12 and so on.


2. in percentage it even worse. eg 100 * 20% (not pressing "=" just %) will give 20 as answer, but now if i press "=" it will give me 2000 or if i press "- "or "+" it will give me 2000 ( Before i can minus or plus, which is wrong)

Now if i use on mobile ( i use office calculator free version) 100*20% (not pressing = just %) will give me 20 but if i press "=" it will stay the same answer as 20 and not changing. IT is same when i do 100*20% (only pressing %) answer comes to 20 and if i want to minus or plus, I simply press the sign and its stay the same answer rather then changing it until i complete the formula.


can i download any others calculator as it is very annoying with the windows 10 even though I use it alot. but then, most of the time i have to write the answer down and redo it again unless i decide to use the calculator on my mobile app.

Window's 10 Calculator won't launch

Hi Dan,

There could be a number of factors as to why you are having issues launching the Calculator app on Windows 10. This could be caused by a software conflict or due to the application itself.

You may consider resetting the Calculator app. To do this, refer to the steps below:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & feature.
  
• Click the Calculator app from the list and then choose Advanced options.
  
• Click Reset.

If the issue persists, I suggest that you create a new user account. This is for us to check if the issue is due to a corrupted user profile. To do this, select the Start button, then select
Settings > Accounts > Family & other people > Add someone else to this PC.

Window 10 Pro - Calculator error

  Are you facing this issue on the calculator app or the built-in calculator?
  

Some problems can be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Sign out. Once you’ve signed out, sign back in to your account.

To open the built-in calculator, follow these steps:

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.
  
• 
  Type “calc” and hit enter to open the calculator.
  

If you are facing issue with the calculator app, then you will be able to solve some problems by running a troubleshooter that will automatically fix some common issues with Windows Store Apps. Once this is done check the status.

Open the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following these steps:

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View All.
  

Click on “Windows Store Apps” troubleshooter to fix problems with Windows Store Apps. Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

Issue with final version of Windows 10 - Calculator App not installed correctly

I understand the inconvenience that you are unable find/install Calculator app on your computer after updating to Windows 10. We will help you to resolve this issue.

  Please let us know if you referring to inbuilt Calculator app or if you have installed any other Calculator app?
  

Step 1: As you have already performed SFC scan, I suggest you to
run DISM or System Update Readiness tool and check.

The DISM or System Update Readiness tool may help you to fix some Windows corruption errors.
