Windows 10 Calculator: second function key still remains pressed after use.

This is an elementary error, easy to correct. Please: SEE WINDOWS 98 CALCULATOR.

Windows 10 19H2 still remains with this elementary error...

How to use a function key/shortkey to open the Calculator in Windows 10

Hi,

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows key + R.

2. Type C:\Windows\System32 and press enter

3. Type calc.exe in the file explorer search bar.

4. Once the calculator icon appears, right click on it and select 'create shortcut". You will get the option to create the shortcut in the desktop.

5. Press Windows key + D to go back to desktop.

6. Right click on the calculator shortcut icon and select "properties".

7. Click the "shortcut" tab.

8. Under Shortcut key, click on "none" and press "C" and save the changes. .

9. The new shortcut key will change to Ctrl +Alt + C. Save the changes and check the functionality.

Where is old Windows scientific calculator?

The Win10 Calculator can find the nth root of a number. If Windows 10 was not an experimental, undocumented OS this information would have been put in its Help system.

To find, for example, the cube root of 8 in the Scientific mode of the Windows 10 Calculator:-

• Press 8
• Press the Up arrow [between 1/x and Pi] and you'll see the alternative key labels appear

• Press the y{root}x key
• Press 3
• Press =

How to use a function key/shortkey to open the Calculator in Windows 10

In Windows 7, I can define a function key under the property of Calculator and then I can easily to open it every time by simply pressing the pre-defined function key.

I can't find the property info for Calculator under the Windows 10.

any ideas?
