Windows 10: Windows 10 Calendar Default Reminder

My Windows 10 Calendar default reminder is 24 hours and cannot be changed no matter what I do. If I reset the app, will I lose all my calendar events?

Cortana Reminders in Calendar (Mail) Windows 10

Hi Bruno,

These notifications (reminders) are an important part of Windows 10. By default, Windows 10 notifies users if an important action, such as a Calendar event, should be performed. If you would like to disable these notifications, kindly follow the steps below:

• Click on Start.
• Go to Settings.
• Select System and go to Notifications & actions.
• Scroll down and toggle the button from On to Off for
  Calendar.

Reminders from deleted calendars

Hi Hawana,

I'd double-check the deleted status of the calendar on your device.

• Open Calendar on your Nokia Lumia 820.
• Tap the ellipses (...) at the bottom and tap settings
• Go through the list of calendars being shown on your device. You can deselect a calendar by tapping the toggle button the right of the calendar name.

You might also want to confirm that these reminders were not somehow synced to another calendar. Check each of the calendars being synced to your phone on a desktop and/or Internet browser to insure the reminders do not exist on another calendar.

If these are truly reminders from the deleted calendar (not listed on your device per steps above), and you do not want to rest your phone to factory default, then you might want to just sit it out as the phone only syncs so far into the future. In theory,
they should eventually go away.

Reminders for Windows 10 Calendar

Make sure you have Notifications for Calendar enabled in Settings.

The notification banner should flow in on the bottom right hand corner for 5 seconds by default...





You could also assign Sounds for the notifications using the Sounds Applet...
