Hi, wondering if someone could give me some help here please.

I still have the same problem.

I have run the hardware troubleshooter and then uninstalled the software and installed/downloaded the updated software from Pioneer as suggested above.

Then message still comes up when I click on the D drive I still get the notice below.

Windows can't read the Disc in Drive D:\

Make sure the disc uses a format that Windows recognises. If the disk is unformatted you need to format it before using it.

I can't get passed this point. Where do I go to format the disc so that Windows can read it if I can't get passed this point.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi

i have an Advent 9215 laptop and upgraded to Windows 10 after much consideration as to the pros and cons.

i can now no longer burn my photos to a CD.

i want to free up space and as well as having photos on my external hard drive ant them on CD as well.

when I insert a CD or indeed DVD the following message pops up

Windows can't read the Disc in Drive D:\

I am using exactly the same discs I used when the laptop ran on Vista and Windows 7 and never had this problem

i am not very computer technical so step by step guidance would be really appreciated

 

My D drive will not read a DVD disc ?

My recent Windows update impacted my D drive's ability to read CD and DVD discs. Did the latest Windows 10 update did not fix it.
