Windows 10: Windows 10 cannot access web pages but connected to the internet

If someone has a problem regarding this in 2020 I found the solution.

Remember when did the problem started and also what where you installing at the time. In my case was a antivirus called kaspersky, a few hours later i started noticing the problem. Right when i uninstalled all the data from this software and rebooted, my problem was fixed. If it doesent work for you, try uninstalling more softwares from the time the problem started, I have an ASUS btw. So yeah, that was about it, see ya.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Upgrading to Windows 10 from windows 7 and losing internet connection

A couple of days ago I upgraded my desktop to windows 10 after getting one of those MS prompts. However now I cannot access the internet and suspect the drivers from the Gigabyte GA-MA790X-ud4 motherboard does not support the internet drivers required. Searching the manufacturers website has not given me any joy either. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
