Windows 10 cannot detect one specific wifi network while show other.. and I am able to connect to that specific network via all other home devices.Kindly help pls.. I checked other threads and tried using those fixes... Surprisingly post doing that after several restarts once in sat 20 restarts it detects network but then back to old story... Really frustrated with this... Is some network services setting or defender firewall causing any problem? Pls help...

Available wifi networks not showing after windows 10 upgrade

    Hi,

This issue can occur from an incompatible or problematic network driver.

As an initial troubleshooting step, we recommend diagnosing your WiFi network and see if it will detect any issues:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Select Network Connections.
    • Right-click on your wireless network adapter.
    • If it's disabled, click Enable.
    • Select Diagnose.
    • Once it detects any problems, follow the on-screen instructions to resolve it.

We also suggest downloading the latest network adapter from the device manufacturer's website. You can also click

    here
for more information on how to update your driver on Windows 10.

Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

Wifi Detects a Network but does not show List after Windows 10 Refresh. Help Please. Windows 10 cannot detect one specific wifi network while show other.. and I am able to... :)

Hi thank you for replying Joan. At first i guess Windows was able to remember the password for my wifi network and was able to connect to it. But then i tried to uninstall the driver and reinstall it back, and poof, im not connected anymore, though i can
see that the wifi icon shows that it can detect a network and if i click on it to see the list of available networks it shows nothing, I did not install any antivirus or firewall since it came from a reset to keep files. I performed another reset to see what
would happen but to no luck its still the same. Im still unable to connect to anyother wifi since it just shows its icon that it can detect but does not show a list. I also did the network reset option of windows 10 but it did not work. I am hoping to hear
a fix for this problem because i would not have any choice but to perform a factory reset of my laptop. Windows 10 cannot detect one specific wifi network while show other.. and I am able to... :( its very hard to transfer such large files. I see that the other person who reported a problem similar to mine ended up doing a factory reset which did
not directly fix the issue. Found his thread here on this link. Still dated back in june.

    Wifi Networks not showing

On my Laptop if I wanted to change the wifi connection I would always see a list of the available networks when I selected the Wifi icon on the task bar.
Since the last major update to Windows 10 I find that when I select the wifi icon I only see the current connection

To see other networks within range I have to open the 'Network settings' and choose 'Show available networks' - then they show up.

Does anyone have any explanation for this - or possibly a 'fix' to show them all from the taskbar again.
