    Windows 10 cannot tell that my computer is connected to the internet.


    I have an issue I hope someone can help with. I have an old Sony VAIO laptop on which Windows 10 is the operating system. Edge and Windows cannot detect the online status of my computer. Whenever I click on the "Search the web and Windows" field, the system returns the following "We can't connect to web search right now ..." "Make sure you are currently connected to the internet." I happen to be connected all the time, yet the system thinks I am not and will not act accordingly. Any suggestions?

    1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig

      Windows 10 cannot tell that my computer is connected to the internet. [​IMG]
    2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
      Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
      NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank

    I downloaded windows10. Now when try to go on the internet it tells me I'm not connected but the computer tells me I am.

    I have the same problem since i upgraded to Windows 10. When I turn my computer back on, internet is gone.

    I have ATT and it has always worked before. It is very frustrating. If I go through Windows Network Diagnostics, it tells me "one or more protocols are missing on this computer." Well why are they missing now with Windows 10 when they worked fine before?
    I wish I could go back to old windows. Windows 10 is terrible.

    Lost internet connection after upgrading to Windows 10.

    after downloading windows 10, i had no internet wifi connections. tried almost everything from community.

    I downloaded talent driver network software to an

    external drive using another computer and then ran the set up on non internet computer. Wifi networks reappeared and I was able to get on the internet and download some apps but connects lost by the next day when turned on computer, Again unable to get
    on internet and network adapters not listed. Talent driver software no longer effective.

    tried INFO GROUND(/) STEP 1. NO CHANGED...no connections listed.

    thanks fo trying to help. Any other suggestions
