  1. Windows 10 Can't find/connect bluetooth device after sudden restart

    Hello,

I'm unable to connect any bluetooth device to my Windows 10 laptop after a sudden restart. As far as I can tell there was no Windows Update, and there was no Blue Screen. The order of events as I can remember it:

    1. Moved the mouse (wireless via USB receiver, the mouse still works) to wake up the laptop
    2. Logged into Windows 10 account
    3. Just as I was about to begin using the computer, the screen suddenly went black. A few seconds later, the blue restart screen appeared
    4. Login screen appeared. Clicked to open the prompt to enter the PIN
    5. Found that laptop did not respond to the bluetooth keyboard at all, even after a few minutes passed
    6. Entered PIN using the laptop built-in keyboard
    7. On desktop, went to left-click Bluetooth icon in the tray > Show Bluetooth Devices

At this point I began trying to reconnect my keyboard. The keyboard was still listed as a "Paired" device, but still couldn't connect. I then removed the keyboard.

    1. Removed bluetooth keyboard device
    2. Clicked "Add Bluetooth or other device" > Bluetooth (Mice, keyboards, pens, or other kinds of Bluetooth devices)
    3. Press and hold bluetooth button on keyboard to make it discoverable. Windows detects it as "Keyboard" / "Input" instead of "Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard" or something similar
    4. Click on "Keyboard" > Screen will say "Connecting..."
    5. Screen says "We didn't get any response from the device. Try connecting again."

No matter how many times I retry I am not able to connect the keyboard. Same goes for my speaker, though my speaker can't be found at all even though it is listed as Paired.Things Tried:

    1. Search > Troubleshoot > Hardware and Devices > Run the Troubleshooter > Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem
    2. Search > Troubleshoot > Bluetooth > Run the Troubleshooter > "Check Bluetooth radio status" "Fixed"
    3. Bluetooth & Other Devices > More Bluetooth Options > Check "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" > Apply > OK
    4. Search > Windows Update > Checking for updates... > This message never goes away. Last successful update was KB4053580 on 12/29/2017.
    5. Could not find drivers for Microsoft Wedge Keyboard to update
    6. Search > Services > Bluetooth Support Device > Right-Click > Properties > Startup = Automatic > OK
    7. Right-click Bluetooth Support Device > Restart
    8. Restart PC x5 and retrying all above steps
    9. Restarting keyboard and speaker device

I'm honestly at the end of my rope, I've checked every thread I could find regarding this issue and I'm still not able to get it to work again. Another thing to note is the keyboard is able to connect just fine to the iPad; the iPad is able to identify it is a Wedge and generates a passcode. Windows 10 does not do any of that at all. Please help!

    Thanks,

    Cynthia

    :)

    Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

  3. Trouble Connecting To Bluetooth Device

    Hello,

Thank you for updating us with the issue.

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth drivers.

Follow these steps to uninstall and reinstall the driver:

Step 1: Steps to uninstall the device:

    • Press Windows key
      + R to open Run.

    • Type devmgmt.msc and press
      Enter
      .

    • Locate Bluetooth Device.

    • Right click on the device and select
      Uninstall.

    • Also place a check mark beside the option
“delete driver files for the device”.

    • Restart the computer
Windows should automatically try to find and install the appropriate driver on restart. In case if it fails to install the driver automatically. If that didn’t work try step 2.

Step 2: Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Go to the manufacture website and search for the latest Bluetooth drivers compatible with Windows 10 available for the device model and then install.

Hope the information helps. If you have any queries related to Windows. Feel free to post. We are here to help you.

Windows 10 Can't find/connect bluetooth device after sudden restart

    Bluetooth in windows 10

So I bought a new Bluetooth headphones the skull candy uproar since my old one isn't working. It came with only the headset and usb charging cable. The problem is I can't seem to pair it to my pc. I have windows 10 by the way. There is no Bluetooth on off button in windows settings. I went to device manager but there us no icon for Bluetooth. I did everything I knew but none of it worked.I can post pictures if anyone needs. An alternative might be a Bluetooth dongle but I m not sure I'd it would work plus I paid $50 so don't wanna spend more

I looked up on Internet and many people seem to have issues with windows 10 and Bluetooth. I thought of asking here knowing my UK friends are smart.

Anyone have any idea of how to get Bluetooth to work on my pc.

PS don't curse windows 10. I already know it's a mess and not a very good os.
