Windows 10: Windows 10 can't get out of the safe mode!

Hi. I have a big problem I put my PC in safe mode but when I try to get out I can't I press the windows key and the R and then put msconfig. A window opens but it closes right after. I can't so anything please please please please help!

Can you right click task bar and select Task Manager? If so, then from Task Manager menu select File\New Task and you will get a run prompt for msconfig. Hopefully that instance will stick.

 

I can't open task manager it disappears right after

 

I've only just installed Windows 10...up from 8.1 While I had 8.1, only a year, I, personally could not find a way to access 'safe mode' or any of the mechanics that were made to be user friendly, hands on, as XP was. I could always rescue my XP...but 8.1 would give me fits and greater challenge. I hope 10 will spare me and if not...I probably will secum to the only other alternative!

 

go to the Control Panel, Administrative Tools, System Configuration

on the boot tab uncheck Safe Boot

 

That will probably work, though I'd be concerned about what's causing the underlying problem of the run box and task manager disappearing as soon as you open them.

By the way, does pressing F8 during startup no longer bring up the list of boot options (including safe mode) like it did in XP?
