Windows 10: [Windows 10] Can't Hear People in Xbox Party When Connected To External Monitor

When I'm in an Xbox party using the Xbox console companion applicatIon, I can hear other people just fine. However, when I connect my laptop to an external monitor via an HDMI cable, I can't hear other people in the party anymore, although they can hear me just fine. All other audio works when connected to the external monitor, except other people in my party for some reason. When I switch the display over, for a split second I can hear my party members, but then it goes back to silence.

Windows 10 upgrade: can no longer connect to an external monitor

• Were you able to see the light on the external monitor (Tuned on/ not)?
• Is there any error message with this issue?

Step 1: As this may look very silly, I suggest you to check if the turned on or not, if it is on let us know the color of the light displayed.

Step 2: I suggest you to remove all the external devices except mouse and keyboard and try to perform clean boot to check if there is any issue with the device and to avoid any third party software conflict.
