Windows 10 can't identify my internet when rebooting

I was one of those people that jumped onto the chance of getting Windows 10 for my Desktop PC last year, but when I did and I would restart or reboot my PC it wouldn't identify my Wired Internet. The strangest thing is that when I shut down my PC, remove the power plug, wait a few seconds for the power to leave my PC, re-plug the power supply and boot it up again the internet runs smooth without any identifying problems.

Does anyone else have this problem? And if someone has fixed it, what were the steps? I have googled it and nowhere that has solutions have worked.

    :)

  2. HyperV - Virtual Switch - No Internet

I am using a Windows 7 machine with Hyper-V on my Surface Book. In order for the VM to get to the Internet, I create a Virtual Switch and assign the wireless adapter to it. This works and I can access the Internet with the VM. Once I reboot, however, the
regular Surface Book NIC and the newly created Virtual Switch network adapter have trouble identifying the network and Internet access.

Windows 10 will actually state No Internet and when I check the Network and Sharing Center, I will most often see "Identifying Network...". It never does id the network. Windows 10 believes at this point that it is not connected to the Internet. Many new
applications rely on this and won't function (Edge, Metro Skype, etc). Internet Explorer works fine.

Has anyone noticed this behavior? As soon as I removed the Virtual Switch and rebooted, Windows 10 is able to properly identify the network connection and Internet access. I have two Surface Book and they both show the same behavior. This may be a Windows
10 problem and not Surface related at all. When I recreate the Virtual Switch everything will work fine until I reboot. I have reproduced this in a variety of different environments. I am pretty sure it is not anything external like a router.

If anyone with Hyper-V experience could chime in and let me know what works for them, I am all ears.

  3. Windows 10 and Intel centrico wireless-n 100 adapter

I installed Windows 10 today - no problems. However when I try to access internet page not found. Checked router, did usual reboot but problem persists. Windows identifies adapter correctly and can see the router but no internet
connection. I have checked the Intel website but there is no driver for Windows 10. I like the look of Windows 10 but if I cannot resolve the problem it's back to Windows 7.

Windows 10 can't identify my internet when rebooting

Hi, the nearest parallel I've experienced was with my old laptop when resuming from hibernation or sleep sometimes left me without my ethernet connection. The 'fix' was to create a small script I could run with a couple of clicks to power the NIC down and up again
    e.g. (Autohotkey script extract)
run, wmic path win32_networkadapter where index=0 call disable

    Sleep 3500

run, wmic path win32_networkadapter where index=0 call enable

In your case you might try using the driver you used previously.
Note- you will have to protect it from Uncle MS replacing it with what he thinks is good for you.

Have you turned the power management off, under properties in device manager for your Ethernet Device? Has worked for me on several computers that have had a similar problem since XP.
