Windows 10 Changing Video Card During Installation

I have HP computer with dedicated graphic card with HDMI and DVI connection, but I am only using the DVI connection, however, while I am installing Windows 10, the screen goes black and then I have to connect a VGA cable to the integrated graphic card in order to turn the screen on again, but sometimes I am missing actions, so is it possible to make the computer default graphic card is the dedicated one from the beginning to the end of the installation without the screen turning black? I think there is an option in Bios but I don't know how. Thanks in advance for your help,*Sad

    :)

  2. Windows product key

Windows 10 usually reinstalls without even asking for a key. Your computer is already a registered Windows 10 device and as long as you don't change the mobo no key is needed for even clean installs. Of course you may use your retail key during the installation
if you want. Changing things like drives, memory, video cards, and such have no effect on activation.

Info on the PC in question would help? Laptop or desktop? GPU type and how many etc.

Normally, if you add a dedicated card to a desktop PC, the integrated graphics is disabled automatically. Unless you have hybrid SLI etc. Motherboard make an model would help sort that out.

Some BIOS and UEFI firmwares have settings for the order that graphics processors are used, just like hard drive/SSD boot orders. Make sure the BIOS or UEFI is set to either disable on board graphics or that it is set for PCIe first (assuming the graphics card is in a PCI express slot).

Thanks NavyLCDR, it works, actually, in Bios there was an option to set the premiere graphic card, so I choose on board and after I finished, I returned to PCI option.
