    CNET is right - but did you read the last paragraph of the article that you linked to? Might want to read it all the way through because the last paragraph states, correctly:
    Do you want to buy a Windows 10 license? Upgrade first to get your activation, then you can clean install and it will use the previous activation to activate again.
