Windows 10: Windows 10 color calibration keeps resetting

When I try to change my monitor's colors, I can see a preview of the color change, but the screen quickly reverts to its default color setting. For example if I use the Windows 10 Display Color Calibration tool, every step works as it should until I get to the Color balance step. When I am still moving a slider to change the color balance, I can see the difference. When I stop, the slider remains moved where I left it, but the color balance reverts.



If I try to change the balance with the following two methods, I can't even see the preview of the color change. Nothing happens.


When I try to change the color balance through nvidia control panel. (Display -> Adjust Desktop Color settings, and also Video -> adjust video settings)


When I try to change the color balance using the monitor's buttons panel.

Color Calibration and gamma settings keep resetting !!!

Since when are you facing this issue?



One of the possible reasons for this behavior is that graphics drivers haven’t been updated and the manufacturer hasn’t released any updates for the graphics card recently. However, we can try some steps and see if we can
get it to work.



Method 1: Disable Game Bar

Windows 10 Game Bar is aimed to enhance the gaming experience for game players, it could sometimes break the color calibration and ICC color profile.

Go to Settings->Gaming->Game bar.

Turn off Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar.



Method 2: Turn off Night Light

Go to settings->System->Display.

Under Color, toggle the Night light switch to off position.



Method 3: Install older version of NVidia graphics driver

Rollback the NVidia graphics driver (to older version) and see if the calibration settings can be set using the NVidia control panel.

Windows calibration resets


I got a problem with my with windows display color calibration. If i play a game, the calibration resets, so i have to make a new one again. Any suggestions?

Solved by doing a calibration with nvidias control panel instead. √

 

Monitor Color Calibration keeps resetting

Hello, I have an acer SA230 and have been trying to fix the monitor's color for 3 hours now. Normally, when a monitor is off color, I would simply go to the color management window and calibrate the monitor. However, every time I finish calibrating the
monitor, the moment I click outside any color management window, the calibration resets and the monitor is again off color. I have tried reloading the ICC profile in the color management window and setting the profile as the default both locally and system
wide, and still the monitor resets its color whenever i click outside the color management window. I have already reinstalled the drivers and have gone as far as disabling driver signature checks in order to do so. I'm not entirely sure what else could be
done at this point other than returning the monitor.
