Windows 10: windows 10 compatibility with hp 110 mini Laptop model (system has atom processor)

Is windows 10 home edition compatible with hp 110 mini laptop (with atom processor). Please advise. What would be the cost for an online home edition. Currently I run Windows 7 version - free edition. As currently, I am without job, do we have any free version for installing in this laptop model.

I appreciate your effort in resolving the issues.

As you have indicated that you tried Clean Boot and also your drivers are up-to-date, please try the Internet performance Troubleshooter also uninstall and reinstall the drivers in compatibility mode and check that helps.

Method 1: I suggest you run Internet performance Troubleshooter and check if that helps.

1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter.

Perform System File Check (SFC), and then check if this fixes the issue.

Follow the steps:

a. Press “Windows Key + Q” to open Charms Bar.

b. Type “cmd” without quotes in the search box.

c. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.

d. Type ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes and hit enter.

Method 2: I would also suggest you to run the System update readiness command. It detects incorrect manifests, cabinets or registry data, it may replace the incorrect data with corrected version available. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click command prompt (Run as administrator).
• In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press
  Enter key after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and then press
Enter

Method 3: If the issues persists uninstall all the drivers and install in compatiblity mode and check if that helps.

To uninstall the drivers please follow these steps.

1. Click Start, type Device Manager, and press Enter.

2. Find and double-click the category of device whose driver you wish to uninstall (for example, the graphics card would be listed under Display Adapters).

3. Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.

4. Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.

5. After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible. In a pinch you can use the Windows Device Manager to uninstall troublesome driver.

Follow these steps to install the driver in compatiblity mode.

Press windows + Q and type compatiblity.

Select compatiblity troubleshooter which will the first option.

Chose the program to run in compatiblity mode (This is case the drivers)

The issue could occur because of incompatible webcam drivers.

Windows 10 HP Mini 110.....Thanks MS!

Took the plunge and upgraded my HP Mini 110-1100 from Win 7 Starter to the free Windows 10 Home. So far very happy with the process and end result. I have tried Win 7 Pro and various Linux Distros ( with some very good results)...but I am digging the way
this little netbook is running on Win 10. It is 2gig ram, 1.67 gig Atom N270.....yes definitely not a powerhouse by any means. I plan on keeping this Netbook pretty much light in the software dept. THANKS Microsoft for this upgrade!
