Windows 10: Windows 10 computer battery settings reset after update?

Hi All, I did some Windows 10 updates on 6/12 and I checked that the battery settings after, and they had been set back to the default?I had originally set them to Never and then they went back to sleep after X.Why would that happen, and how could I stop it from happening in the future?Thanks!

Bios keeps resetting...not the battery

I'm having problems with a abit AW9D Max board in an older build of mine that keeps resetting the bios everytime I shut it down. The time is ok so I assume it's not the battery but the other settings such as Uguru setting, ram and other stuff resets to defaults*Wtf :wtf: I've had this computer for a few years with nothing like this happening till now. I'd just leave everything at default but the Uguru alarm goes off whenever I start it and I have to disable it in the bios. Any suggestions on what I can try?

The computer shut down unexpectedly and would not reboot. It was plugged in with a failing battery. I suspect that the failed reboot was caused by corrupted system files upon shut down. Failed attempts (restore image backups, start up repair, etc.) left me with no option that I am familiar with not requiring full install, repair install or reset.

After the reset Windows Update completed only one round of updates. Subsequent checks returned "up to date" messages. My attempts to remedy the problem included:

• troubleshooting under settings
• Code:
• Code:
• starting/stopping windows update in services.msc

• deleting all files in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download
• following instructions in Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10

Laptop battery issue

I'm pretty sure the E1505 has "speed step" on it. Double checkthe speed step settings to make sure they are set for long battery life, maybe it's somehow reset itself?
