  1. windows 10 computers not seeing each other on home network

I have two computers on home windows 10 network both up to date and on the same side of the router. Both are OEM Home versions of Windows 10.

I tried all the different suggested tweeks and workarounds suggested in forums that I found. I occasionally get to see the other shared computer but the connection always goes away when one of the computers sleeps or hibernates and is awakened.

Currently the computers are visible to one another if the router and computers are turned on at the same time. When one machine goes to sleep and is awakened both computers become absent in file explorer's network listing.

Amazingly the shared drives do give access even if the machine has disappeared in the network list of file explorer.

It does not help when the standard boiler plate suggestions and replies in the forums do not seem to have been read and understood by the expert replying to the problem.

I am wondering if there is any project in the works to address this problem with File Explorer?

    :)

Can't See Other PC's On Home Network

What fixed my network seemingly permanently was different. I had previously tried all the steps except one of them, step 4, on the page, below. Before doing this particular step, which computers showing up in the Network were inconsistent on a daily basis. I finally have all 6 Windows 10 ver 2004 computers always seeing each other and themselves after running step 4 on each computer. See FIX: Windows 10 Network Computers Not Showing in Explorer.
