Windows 10: Windows 10 Constant Freezing

I am using a Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 Version 1909. I few days ago I carried out the weekly update and since then roughly every 10 to 15 minutes the cursor disappears and the touch screen becomes unresponsive. I have removed the keyboard and reconnected but this doesn't seem to resolve the issue. To try to solve the issue I reset the PC Kept documents and have only reinstalled a few standard programs office, browser and zip. Still didn't resolve the issue.


There was also a strange symptom in that when then cursor disappeared and you tried to use your hand to swipe down on the screen, a line of what can best be called "phantom circular touch points" would appear on the screen and if you hit them enough they would eventually disappear.


The only way to get the cursor and control of the surface back is to hit the power button so that the screen goes blank. If you leave it for a second or two then hit the power button again then the cursor comes back and work for another period of time before it disappears again.


Any help would be appreciated.

Constant freezing, slow to open programs and files.

The title says it all. Constant freezing and slow to open programs - I'm talking about minutes not seconds. I have anti-virus and malware software working. Recently, downloaded latest Windows 10 update. Now it seems worse. But it was bad before that. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah really helpful for Windows 10. The link takes you to a guide for Windows 7 and 8.

This OS is garbage. CONSTANT FREEZING. CONSTANT. NEVER ENDING.

I've tried clean reboots, the entire panoply. It's ****, and it's embarrassing that MIcrosoft releases such junk.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
