    lumia denim update

At the moment the windows 10 is only available as a preview for windows 7 SP1 and higher with an enterprise edition which was updated to a business type one (it's early, I can't remember what the proper name is) and in January it could be extended to a
consumer preview, but for WP 10 this probably won't be announced until build in April.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they bring out. I'm happy they're changing the icons, I hope they make them more consistent.

The article talked about build 989x, I'm currently on 9879, have there been further builds released?

What about this from the insider hub?

And finally – we heard from you loud and clear: you want ISO images of the new builds we release. We want to give you what you want – but there’s a catch. Getting the update and install data from our preview builds mechanism is super important for us. It helps us ensure smooth ESD distribution, download, and upgrade success for this program going forward, and will also help us ensure a great Windows 10 upgrade process , so we’re going to release the ISOs at the same time as we publish to the Slow ring. That means if you want to be FIRST and FASTEST to get the build, you’ll need to use our preview builds mechanisms (either Automatic or Check now in Settings to download.) If you must have an ISO you’ll have to be a bit more patient. Hopefully this is a fair tradeoff. *SmileWe continue to be humbled by all the feedback we’re receiving from Windows Insiders like you. Keep it coming!

I have been patient for a week. but that can't last for much longer. Come on man *Cool

Gee, early holiday days off for the MS crew.

    I get a little amused with the author using words as "awesome", reminds me of "groovy, really keen, and neat-o". Beyond that though, how else would they expect Microsoft to respond, saying anything other than it was a success, that would be unimaginable. But, I did find WinBeta's comments about this, as interesting;

Could we possible see yet another, new, and different start menu of some sort???? ummmmmm

I was thinking, why do the desktop icons need to be stationary? What if they were the scrolling start screen tiles, but still have your taskbar with a Windows 7 type menu that could be brought up. That kills 2 birds with one stone and nooo more swapping at all.

    Hi there

Seems FINALLY Ms have learned their lesson from the disastrous experiment of Windows 8. W8.1 was better but IMO also not really suitable for a lot of Enterprises or other areas which relied on the classic desktop.

W10 is definitely "Enterprise" useable - and the new consumer bits which grab the best of W8/W8.1 will make a welcome re-appearance in the next set of builds.

I Love the idea of "Live tiles" on the desktop -- That was one feature from the old VISTA that I was sad to see go in W7 (Gadgets). People use multiple monitors quite regularly as a matter of course these days (even Home computer users often have THREE !! or more) so not forcing everything into Full screen mode is also the correct way forward too.

Seems Windows 10 will re-establish Windows again as the world's best selling and most used OS once more.

Looking forward to the future builds and the REAL final release(es).

    Cheers

  14. I understand the delay.
The consumer version has to meet the needs of a variety of people; most that are not high tech type of people.
That is why ESD is important. Most of these people don't even know what a ISO is nor do they want to know.

Enterprise is pointed to a select type of people. In the most part trained I.T. Departments and those that have skills and needs for Enterprise.

To me that means it will take more time to developed the general consumer version.
Trying to make a half million I.T. Departments happy is a completely different ball game from making a half of billion mixed and matched consumers happy.

    Simple to me.
I have lived all my life without W-10. It won't hurt to wait a little longer. Some how I will get by.

Thanks Shawn for keep on top of such information.
