Windows 10: Windows 10 corrupted

I have a problem with Windows 10 professional and I still do not know what events led to the problem.I use a laptop which is set up to switch off if the lid is closed and mains power switched off. I used a HDMI cable to connect the laptop to a stand alone screen. The laptop has one drive partitioned into three. C drive for windows and programme files, D drive for the recovery version of Windows 10 home and F drive which contains all of my files. The computer had Windows 10 home OEM installed but I have upgraded to Professional using my own licenced copy. I do not use any of the Microsoft

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
