Windows 10: Windows 10 cpu usage skyrockets when I touch just touch an app - remaster of an old post

This is a remaster of an old post of mine about the same issue.

So in Any other windows version when I just touch the app it doesn't do anything. Like anything it just sits there, whilst on windows 10 just switching over to the app causes it to skyrocket to 70% from just 5%

This issue happens with all the different feature updates I tried - 1903, 1909, 2004, 20h2. All of them have the same issue.

I have a screenshot and a video in case someone wants them.

Specsdont matter tho cuz it started a couple of months ago and before that it didn't happen)

Add the Touch Keyboard Icon to the Action Center

Hi Doug,



Adding the touch keyboard on the items in Action Center is currently not available in Windows 10. However, you can change the settings to automatically show the touch keyboard when you use the device in tablet mode. If you'd like to do this, you can
follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Open Settings.
• Select Devices.
• Go to Typing.
• Under Touch keyboard settings, switch on Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there’s no keyboard attached to your device.

If you want to provide a feedback or suggestion to Microsoft to have the touch keyboard available in Action Center, you can post it
here.

Yes, it works on 8.1, at least on my surface pro 3.

Couldn't do a screenshot cause can't get to Snipping tool while keyboard is up, so I did a "step recording". See attached. Pardon the background, it's my Granddaughter! Cheers! *Cool

I'm gonna have to put 8.1 back on my machine somewhere!
Course, your Surface is built for that, this HP monitor is labeled 'Limited Touch Support' so, I'm hoping...
