    Windows 10 crash help

I installed an update and it caused me to lose my taskbar originally. I tried to uninstall the update with no success and now the OS has crashed and will not reset without me loosing all my files. I do not want to lose my files and I wanted to know if I can run Windows 10 from a USB drive long enough to recover my files before doing another install to correct what ever happened because of the update? Or repair the OS from a flash drive enough to get the machine to boot up because it's in a boot loop now wanting to do a repair and it will not complete any of the options it has and I have not tried doing the clean wipe because I need the files that are on it. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Any help will be appreciated and thanks

    :)

Windows 10 Crashes to error message Memory Mangement

Original title: Crashes On Windows 10

I just installed Windows 10 64 Bit this morning. I have gotten probably 10-20 crashes today. I would like some help with this. I caught 3 things I have seen many times in these crashes: Crashes On Windows 10, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

    Windows 10 NASCAR app crashes

Windows 10 NASCAR app crashes on startup.

It crashes so quickly that the error message can't be copied.

There appears to be no way to get help.

You have a couple of options:

    1. If you have a storage location such as an external hard drive that has enough storage space to hold all of the used space on your Windows partition you can create a Macrium Reflect Free rescue disk on an operating computer, boot the troubled computer with the Macrium Reflect Free rescue disk and make an image of the Windows partition. Then you can use a Windows 10 install USB/DVD to wipe the hard drive and clean install Windows 10. Re-install Macrium Reflect Free and you can browse the image you created to retrieve your data files that you need.

    2. Or you can create a MiniTool Partition Wizard free bootable USB/CD, boot your computer from that, shrink your current OS partition to the minimum size it will allow you too, create a new NTFS formatted partition in the free space, and using a Windows 10 install USB/DVD do a clean install to the new partition. That will actually set up a dual boot of the old Windows and the newly installed Windows. Once you finish copying data files over from the old windows to the new windows you can delete the old partition and expand the new Windows partition into the empty space using MiniTool Partition Wizard.

    Macrium Reflect Free

Thanks!!!! Again it worked like a charm worked like a charm and after I retrieved the info I started hearing the clicking of death coming from my HDD so I believe that may have been the initial problem (drive failure) and the update only exasperated the problem. Anyway thanks a million and I owe you a beer!!!!!!!!!

Yes Sir! I hadn't though about it but it's 7 years old so I do believe I got my money's worth out of it. In fact I'm upgrading both while the wife's not looking. LOL
