Windows 10: Windows 10 Crashes While Using Wacom Intuos Tablet

Recently I've had several occasions when my PC started stuttering before grinding to a complete halt while I was using my Wacom Intuos tablet on Photoshop. The strange thing is, when I hit restart, my PC recovered very quickly, as if it was merely a soft system restart - but all of my Wacom Tablet Properties application settings are GONE, reset to default.


I checked online and most of the articles I found are unhelpful, and the ones slightly related all pointed to updating the Intuos' driver, which I have (the current version is 6.3.30-6), and still the crashes keep coming back. I suspect it might be my Wacom conflicting with Windows Ink or whatever garbage features Microsoft's been adding to Windows lately.


I could really use some help.

Bundled with software for drawing, painting and image editing, the new Intuos tablet offers an immediate start into digital art. Anyone interested in getting creative on a digital level will be able to enjoy a natural pen experience, improved accuracy and enhanced online navigation capability. Upon purchase of the new Wacom Intuos, users can download up to $160 worth of creative software, including Corel Painter Essentials 6 for design and illustration, CELSYS CLIP STUDIO PAINT PRO for comic and Magna creation and Corel AfterShot 3 for photo editing. Numerous video tutorials by Wacom, Corel and Celsys will help users get started.

New Intuos features include built-in wireless Bluetooth integration on some models, and three color choices. Available in small and medium sizes, all models have the same active tablet area as previous versions but with a smaller footprint and lighter weight. A built-in pen tray, four express keys, an LED indicator and in the Bluetooth models a 60 percent improvement on battery life rounds out the upgrade.

The included pen boasts 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, battery-free Wacom EMR technology, and an improved ergonomic design with increased weight and soft touch grip area, in-pen nib compartment and nib extractor.

wacom intuos 3 tablet not working anymore

Hi,

I'm on windows 10 64bit and my Wacom intuos 3 tablet doesn't work properly anymore,

the thing is it did work about a month ago on the same system and neither hardware or software has changed.

The tablet works perfectly on another pc with win 7 and the Wacom driver is up to date.

My guess is that something has changed with a Win 10 update, because that's the only thing that's different.

Wacom Intuos Tablet not working in Windows 10

Original Title: Windows 10 has changed everything. Help.

Hello there, I'm hoping someone can help my girlfriend and I out. So she recently purchased a Wacom Intuos Tablet CTL 490 and we installed the drivers and all but it didn't work. We tried calling Wacom and they said it could be the wire doesn't work so we
replaced it but it was still doing the same thing, just blinking and not reading on the laptop. I suggested it could just be the usb ports but we tried some usb flashdrives and they worked. We've tried installing different drivers, we tried stopping the service
and starting it up again, uninstalling and reinstalling and honestly we don't feel it's the Wacom tablet. We feel it's windows 10 because ever since the update even the xbox 360 wired controller we have doesn't work anymore. Yet flashdrives do? it makes no
sense. She had windows 8.1 but ever since she upgraded to windows 10 the xbox 360 doesn't work anymore but it still lights up so its not broken.

So we need some help, I recently bought her another tablet because maybe we just got a defective product but even this one doesn't work either. We've checked if windows 10 has anymore updates but the laptop is already up to date.

Help?

She has an HP Pavilion 17 notebook by the way.
