Windows 10: Windows 10 crashing when using: Word, Excel, Edge and Chrome.

Good Afternoon,


I have a surface Book 2, it is fully up to date. I have uninstalled Freedome VPN and unplugged my SD card It was a flush one used to house a MicroSD as a permeant storage boost


Windows and GeForce drivers are upto date. All software is genuine. No "dodgy" third party software.


My laptop keeps randomly crashing and it is almost impossible to even edit a document without it resetting or the app / programme just stopping.


This happens when browsing the internet or using low level applications Word etc when playing games steam, GOC etc it is fine.


Can any one take a look at my reliability download or event log and hopefully spot something simple as the cause.

windows 10 upgrade is crashing office 2013 - word/excel

That worked for Word but not Excel. Excel did not have any add ins active. It will open fine in safe mode tho but as soon as i open a new spreadsheet in normal mode it crashes, any other suggestions?

Windows 10 - Outlook Hyperlinks and PDFs Opening in Edge Not Chrome

I want to once again use Chrome for URLs and Adobe Reader for PDFs, but lost this after a Windows 10 auto-update.

I now too have the situation where PDFs in emails I receive in Outlook (2010) open in Edge, and when I attach a PDF to an Outlook email it shows as an Edge doc. Also, URLs in Outlook Emails open in Edge. PDFs and URLs other than in Outlook open with my
preferences.

I've reset all the defaults I can find to associate PDFs with Adobe Reader and URLs to Chrome. Also tried the suggested regedit change. Didn't help at all.

My Set Default Programs don't show Microsoft Outlook, just:

• Microsoft account
• Microsoft Edge
• Microsoft family restrictions
• Microsoft Solitaire Collection

Control Panel shows I have both Microsoft Office Click-to-Run 2010 (which includes Visio) and Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 - English (which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
