Windows 10: Windows 10 crashing

I've tried basically whatever solutions I could find including disabling overclocking of my CPU, cleaning the dust out of the device and fans, uninstalled third party anti-virus applications, and tried starting in safe mode to update. The last one has been quite an issue though. I tried updating the regular way through settings but it ended up getting stuck at 100% so I downloaded the update assistant application. However with that, whenever it hits 80-85% the computer just crashes again every time. I don't even know if the update will actually fix my problem, but it's pretty annoying that I can't even figure out if it will. Any suggestion I didn't list would be nice.


Edit: Probably should have mentioned this as well, but when it crashes, it'll either blue-screen or just restart without warning. There doesn't seem to be any specific action to cause it either. It'll happen at any moment be it while playing a game, watching videos, or just sitting on the desktop. Whenever it blue-screens, I'll get the code "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR". Doesn't happen in any specific amount of time either. Will sometimes go a whole day without problems, or crash multiple times a day, sometimes just minutes apart.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
