Windows 10: Windows 10 Creating System Restore Point hangs at 99%

Hi,I'm running Windows 10 Pro, 21H2, 19044.1645.When trying to create a System Restore Point interactively the process hangs without further information.If I try to create the Restore Point manually, via PowerShell, the progress bar advances normally until it reaches 90%. It then slows down and it stops at 99% completed. After 4-5 hours nothing changes.One problem with this besides the fact that I cannot create Sytem Restore Points on demand is that I cannot install any software that tries to create System Restore Point as the first step during install.Any suggestion?Thanks

I like to inform you that, Windows automatically creates a restore point when you install desktop apps and new Windows updates, if the last restore point is older than 7 days. You can also create a restore point manually at any time.

To create restore point Manually, follow the below steps:

1. Press the WinKey+X to display the system menu and click
System.

2. On the left side menu, click
System Protection.

3. In the Protection Settings section, click the
C: (system) drive.

4. Click the Create button.

5. Type a name for the System Restore file (The
Date and Time will be added automatically).
