How do I get sRGB images to display correct in unmanaged applications on windows 10 RS2/Creator's update with a Wide Gamut Display?

Is "MyPeople" / "People Bar" already available in Windows 10 Creators Update ?

Can't find a way to setup the "The Windows MyPeople experience" advertised with the release of

Windows 10 Creators Update :/ Is it available yet?

 

Not gonna lie, Surface Studio looks really, really nice.

The only thing I don't get is why they've gone for 3:2 Aspect Ratio, when not only is the majority of video 16:9 (meaning either cropped video or black bars when watching video full screen), but also 16:9 gives more room for pallets to the sides of the canvas than the squarer 3:2 aspect ratio, which I would have thought would be more useful for this type of device. It's not the end of the world, I just don't understand why they've made that particular decision?

 

So we're getting another build this week?

Ah, ok. I hadn't noticed any of the new features, I guess.

 

I understand today Microsoft released a device whose only purpose was to download updates and keep itself up to date. Also, certain devices will offer complete integration with ZOMBO.COM.

 

Why is it anytime I see information such as contained in this post I think of "Conflict of Interest"?

Microsoft develops the OS. Microsoft sells it own brand of Computer. I think the OEMs have good reason to be concerned about their future.

 

Don't Apple do the same?

 

Yep, Apple do exactly the same (though not as well), it's called business, (or capitalism depending on your view). It's any business' aim to as much as possible gain a monopoly in their market. of course from the consumers point of view as well as the research and development competition is a good thing.

 

It seems that I don't need this update. There is nothing important for me in changelog.

 

I have to admit, Redstone 2 is going to be a bit of a dud for anyone that's not a "Creator" and willing to invest a ton of money in new hardware. I hope they focus a little energy on other features as well.

 

These products target market is high end professionals users and not your typical home user for facebook, email and browsing. The OEM's already have All-in-Ones for the consumer market which use OEM Windows.
