    Windows 10 cycles on and off


    After powering down it will cycle on and and off. the cpu fan, case fan and power button all come on for about 1 second. It happens every 11 minutes. I replace the power supply, ram and reseated the graphics card, removed the cmos battery. still does it. If I put it in sleep mode it does not do it. I assume it is something in windows since it happens on a regular basis. I went through the bios and power management did not see anything that was out of the ordinary. But maybe I am missing something. These were just parts that I had from previous systems and everything was working before.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 cycles on and off

    Task Switcher randomly gets stuck cycling windows


    Good morning!

    I am having an issue with the Task Switcher (see image below) activating on its own. It then begins to cycle through the open tasks very rapidly. When this happens I am unable to actually select any of the tasks, nor can I close them out. Windows is essentially frozen at this point and I have to restart.

    A few things to note:


    • I am running Windows 10 Pro.
    • This happens randomly, sometimes weeks between an incident.
    • Sometimes it happens while I am not even working at the computer. I've noticed it after returning to my desk.

    Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
