Windows 10: Windows 10 dark mode drops performance?

Hello dear Micorosoft Community and Staff!


Recently I have been shocked that the difference between the normal and the dark mode in Windows 10 actually differ a lot in the performance. Starting from loading the files, and thumbnails to performing the operations. I do not know if it is kind of a bug that is looking for to be removed, or something.

By the way, with the recent Windows update, laptop keeps getting stucked at 99% though it has been on charge all day, while not hitting 100% ever.

Combo Box drop down list is dark gray on Windows 10 as compared to Windows 7

Hi,

As compared to Windows 7, In Windows 10 combo box drop down list and buttons are dark gray in color.

Can anyone please suggest how we can make to look same as Windows 7.

Windows 10 Dark Mode Not Working

Hi kontkrabber

In Windows 10 version 1903, the Mode settings changed, please try this:

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Personalization - Colors

Set 'Choose your Color' to Custom

Set Windows Mode to Dark

Set App Mode to Dark

If that does not work for you, toggle App Mode to light, then back to Dark . . .

If your settings are different to the above listed settings:

Click your Start Button, type winver and hit Enter

On the resulting dialog, what Version No. and build No. of Windows 10 are you running?
