Windows 10: Windows 10 Dark mode File Explorer flashes when opened, minimized or maximized!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

White flash when un-minimizing, maximizing, or opening applications

Using dark mode on windows, if unminimizing file explorer it flashes white.

If I unminimize Notepad++, it flashes white.

Easier to see when 'Minimize/Maximize animations' are set to 'off'

There's a quarter-half second of a blindingly white app then back to whatever color scheme it should actually have.

VStudio, Command Prompt, and a few other apps do not suffer from this issue.

All browsers (including chrome), Notepad++, File explorer, etc. suffer from this.

Anyway to get this fixed? Even via hacky solution would be great.

Maybe some third-party apps that can fix this? >.>

Getting severe eye strain due to this bs.......

 

Open a PDF viewer in windowed mode (NOT maximized, NOT minimized)

I am trying to force a PDF viewer (Bluebeam Revu) to always open in windowed mode, not full screen (maximized) and not minimized. Even for normal programs I see no way to do this, but for a PDF viewer where I open it 100% of the time by clicking on all
these different individual PDFs, I really am not sure how I would go about forcing it to always open in windowed mode.

To further complicate the issue, if I make a shortcut to a pdf (for testing purpose only, only "Shortcuts" have the following options) and set it to always open minimized or maximized, nothing changes; it will always only open the same way that it had been
closed (windowed or maximized) and none of the options changes that.

If you have any suggestions that would be great, because right now half the time I need to window mode the PDF, close it and re open it so that it starts windowed (I do use full screen most of the time, but there is a bug that can't allow it to _start_ full
screen, hence the problem).
