Windows 10: Windows 10 default program for ISO

Did Microsoft change the default program for burning an ISO in the relatively recent past? Today it was inviting me to install some third-party software to do this. I had to tell it to default to Windows Explorer instead before it would give me the usual option to burn to disk. A task that should have taken 5 minutes thus dragged out to an hour.Is Microsoft trying to make me think I'm going gaga?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

*.iso opening default


Followed Shawn's tutorial for modifying *.iso default using Option 2 to change "To Restore Specific File Type or Protocol Association to Default" which originally set to Cyberlink. After following the instructions I have no iso listed under Default.
Anyone have a suggestion? Would like to contact Shawn but I don't know how to contact him. Thanks for your suggestions.

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to set as default app.

• In the search box, type “settings”.
• Click on “system” and on the left hand corner click on
  “default apps”.
• Under “choose default apps” click on the “+” symbol and you can
  add the apps.
