I would like to download Zoom onto this 2019 Lenovo IdeaPad240 bought at staple store. Windows Defender 10 blocks ALL downloads "… has a virus and was deleted..." I've tried every way I can find to shut off Windows 10 Defender. Upon downloading, I STILL get that same action. MS chat was not helpful. Staples tech geek couldn't figure it out. I am really disgusted with MS and Lenovo. Seems like a Red Chinese plot. Maybe someone from Hong Kong could help.... 8:15AM EDST Monday 25MAY2020

Turn On Windows Defender Block Suspicious Behaviors in Windows 10

The DWORD is set to 0 and I cannot get the process you suggested in the "NOTE" portion of the tutorial to work. Two attached screen shoots will show the before and after attempts to change the Permissions necessary for access to the DWORD change.

Windows Defender is blocking too much saying it viruses

    Hi Sam,

Based on the screenshot that you've provided, Controlled Folder Access is turned on, blocking most apps that you're using. We suggest that you turn it off to allow blocked apps in Windows Defender. Follow the steps below:

    • Select Start > Settings.
    • Choose Update & security > Windows Defender.
    • Select Open Windows Defender Security Center.
    • Select Virus & threat protection, and then choose Virus & threat protection settings.
    • Under Controlled folder access, turn it on or off.
    • Once done, try accessing the apps and see if you can now access them.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to post back.

    The State of Cryptocurrency

According to the reddit page i linked earlier, this is the solution:

    • Disable Windows Real-Time Protection
    • Disable Cloud-delivered protection
    • Copy the .exe back over to the affected machine.
    • Add the .exe to the windows 10 defender exclusion list
    • Enable windows defender again to see if it would removed it again.
    • Startup claymore again.
Here is how to add an exclusion:
