Windows 10: windows 10 deleting wireless network adapter

This has happened before to me I was lucky a tech offered to help but when I went to restart my windows 10 laptop asus X540LA 1Tb 8gb ram,2.00 ghz cpu, after was finished playing minecraft it restarted with no wifi network adapter and only broadband and idky this is happening it won't even detect the router or let me setup a new connection please help I've only had this laptop for 2 years,its been nothing but a pain this is my 10th computer and I'm getting tired of these things happening

We suggest that you try to delete the old network connection profile, start the service, and create a new profile. To delete a wireless network profile in Windows 10, follow these steps:

• Click the Network icon located at the lower right corner of your screen.
• Click Network settings.
• Click Manage Wi-Fi settings.
• Under Manage known networks, click the network you want to delete.
• Click Forget.
  

Note: You may also type netsh wlan show profiles in the
Command Prompt to manage and delete wireless network profiles.

Wireless Adapter not working

Method 1:

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Vista or XP?

You need to go in and delete the network. Then it will pick it up again, and ask you to enter the key again.

On Vista, you do this by going into Networking and Sharing Center. The click on Customize, then click on Merge or delete network locations. Find the SSID of the router in the list, and delete it.

On XP, I believe you have to go to Network Connections, then right click on your Wireless Adaptor. Go to Status, and there should be a button to Manage Wireless Networks, that should take you to where you need to be to delete the network.
